[Game Review] – Minecraft Pocket Edition

Minecraft PE is a sandbox construction game created by Mojang AB founder Markus Persson, and inspired by theInfiniminerDwarf Fortress and Dungeon Keeper games. Gameplay involves players interacting with the game world by placing and breaking various types of blocks in a three-dimensional environment. In this environment, players can build creative structures, creations, and artwork on multiplayer servers and singleplayer worlds across multiple game modes.

Steve is the main character of the game. You will play as Steve  entirely in the game. You can change the name in the menu though.

In most game modes of Minecraft, it consists mainly of adding and destroying a variety of different blocks in a randomly generated world.

With these blocks, players can manipulate the world around them, building and destroying structures. As gameplay in Minecraft is so open and unguided, players often set their own goals and play the game as they see fit.

the very strategic and noticeable house of mine.

There are tools available in the game as of today. Pickaxe, Sword, Sheers, Axe, Bows and arrows, Armors and used for you to survive the game and create wonders into the world. These tools has a variety in which you will need certain ores to mine or find.

Ore is a block type in Minecraft. Ores are primarily collected for crafting purposes, such as for tools and armorRedstone Ore is used as a type of “wiring” that can be used to create Redstone circuitscompassesclocks, and other items. Ore can also be combined to create a block of the material’s type. Blocks are hard to make, as they require nine pieces of material to create (blocks of quartz, however, require 4 Nether quartz crystals).

Crafting is only available in Survival mode since you will have almost all of the items in Creative mode and most probably won’t need. You will need to craft the things you will need in order to survive the game. Items will be available for crafting once you have all the required items to craft that.

Game Modes
There are 2 game modes in the PE game:

Creative mode is one of the main game modes in Minecraft. There are two separate versions of Creative mode, only one available in the full game, whilst the other, Classic Creative mode, is available for free on the game’s main website. Creative mode strips away the survival aspects of Minecraft and allows players to easily create and destroy structures and mechanisms.

Creative mode allows players to destroy all blocks instantly (including normally-indestructible blocks such as bedrock) and the ability to fly.  Players are given an infinite number of blocks to build with and no health or hunger bar thus rendering the player immune to all damage. Taking advantage of this, players can create large constructions more easily.

Survival mode is the game mode of Minecraft in which players must collect resources, build structures, battle mobs, manage hunger, and explore the land in an effort to survive.
In Survival, players have an inventory in which they may gather items. These items may be combined using certain recipes to create tools and other items. This process is known as crafting. Most crafting recipes need a crafting table. Players are also able to create potions by brewing.

Worlds and Biomes

Some men just want to watch the world burn. – Alfred

Simple World is limited and does not have some of the things that are available in infinite world. The good thing about this world is that you will find and access you way back to the house you have creative. Infinite world meanwhile is so large the once you are lost, Then you are lost. You will be lucky enough to go back and track your way back your home. Caves and Villages are available in this mode. Also different Biomes can be found in the game. there is also a Flat world. This world is flat so to say. There are no mountains, Ocean just pure flat land. Flat land are best used in Creative mode.

Biomes are regions in a Minecraft world with varying geographical features, flora, heights, temperatures, humidity ratings, and sky and foliage colors. Biomes separate every generated world into different environments, paralleling the real world; These include: Jungles, Mesa, Plains, Roofed Forests, Savannas, Taiga, Extreme Hills, Mushroom Islands, Flower Forest, Mega Taiga, Mega Spruce Taiga, Swampland, Desert, Forests, Frozen and Deep ocean.

Rating: 4.5/5

Even though the mobile version is far away from the ones we have on PC and Xbox, the Mobile version will still make you engage to it. If you are not familiar with this game at first, try to give it a shot. There are lots of guides available in order for you to move on into the game. If you are a hardcore Minecraft player, you will surely ask for more updates for this game. With lots of mobs now and the infinite world on the recent update(the update was so friggin cool. I hope they will line it up with the PC and Xbox version). I really love on how this game made me spent long hours of game time(yes even got lost in caves and the wilderness on survival mode lol) just to explore whats inside the world I am into. Take note that this game has no storyline. You are the one who will make your own storyline and make every possible thing you can do in the game. Graphics is pixelated and that’s the trademark of Minecraft. Sound is also good. The zombie and creeper sound will make your heart raise(yeah earphones are recommended). The game is not yet complete but there are so many things you can do in this game. I hope they can add up costume change just like we have on the PC version so that we can all have our own identity. As of now the game costs 7$ but I will tell you, Its all worth it. Play it by yourself anytime, anywhere or much more fun with your friends.
